rahim-afans-father

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahim, the father of Afan, accused in the Venjaramoodu massacre case, said that ours is not a family with big financial problems. Rahim told the media that his family did not send him money abroad and that he was constantly in touch with his family. He added that the police should find out the truth.

'The family did not have as much financial responsibility as Afan says. I have paid off the house loan. Then I do not know why Afan is saying this. My family has not sent me money abroad. I was constantly in touch with my family. I spoke to Afan even last week. Afan's mother's health has improved. Today there is a difference in her speech. Everyone should pray. Let the police find out the truth about what happened. I have nothing else to say,' Rahim clarified.

Meanwhile, the police say that it is almost certain that the reason for the Venjaramoodu massacre was huge financial responsibility. Afan and his mother borrowed Rs 65 lakh from 14 people. Finally, the lenders constantly harassed the family for money. With this, the police said, Afan and his family decided to commit group suicide.

Afan's mother Shemina lost in a chit fund. Shemina invested in a chit fund to solve her financial problems. Shahida, the wife of the deceased Latheef, got the chit fund. But she did not give the money. Latheef and Afan had an argument over this. Latheef had also told his close relatives that Afan had spoken badly to him.
