KOZHIKODE: The police have taken a decisive step in the incident of the killing of Shahabaz, a 10th class student during a clash in Thamarassery. The police are trying to record the statements of more in connection with the incident. This is to find if anyone else is involved in the murder besides the five students arrested. The family had come forward alleging that Shahabaz's murder was planned.

The move is to record the statements of the students who were at the spot of the incident and the people who were in the nearby shops at that time. The police have collected the CCTV footages of the roads near the tuition center where the clash took place. This will also be examined in detail.

Shahabaz was hit with a deadly weapon nunchaku used in karate. His postmortem showed that the cause of death was a severe fracture of the skull and brain injury caused by a weapon. There was internal bleeding in the area where the chest was hit and there were injuries above the right ear and eye.

The student who attacked Shahabaz knows martial arts. He knows karate and kung fu. His father is also a goon. Shahabaz's friends said that is his courage. All those who beat him up are students of Korangad School. They had earlier said that they would beat Shahabaz. Locals and the police hinted that the students from Thamarassery School involved in the attack are regular troublemakers.
