THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More details of the statement of Afaan, accused in the Venjaramoodu massacre case, have been released. Afaan in his statement to the police said that he killed his younger brother Afsan by hitting him on his head with a hammer after informing him about the attack towards their mother and murder of their relatives.

When Afsan returned from school on the day of the incident, asked him to go to Venjaramoodu and buy kuzhimanthi. Arranged an auto for him. When Afsan returned, told him about the murders committed standing in the front door of the house. Hearing this, he screamed and so killed him. After confirming his death, threw the notes he had in his hand on his body. After a shower, changed clothes and tried to start his bike, but could not as he was drunk. Took an auto and went straight to Venjaramoodu police station in an auto, according to Afsan's statement.

Afaan had earlier said that he killed his girlfriend Farsana after informing her about the murder of his relatives. ‘Killed many including mother and grandmother. Farsana was shocked hearing this. She asked him how we will live now. He immediately hit her on her head with a hammer.' The accused hit Farsana, who was sitting on the chair with a hammer. Without any hesitation, Afaan told police how he killed Farsana. However, the police have not officially confirmed this.

Meantime, Afaan will be shifted to the jail from the medical college hospital today. The doctors had earlier informed that Afaan's health condition has improved. His two arrests will be registered today.
