KOZHIKODE: The Police report confirmed that it was the father of the main accused who gave nunchuk to kill his son's classmate in Thamarassery. It is also suspected that this man, alleged to be linked with criminal groups, was present at the site when the students clashed.

The photo of this person with the TP murder case accused TK Rajeesh also surfaced on Sunday night. It is also alleged that some of the parents of the accused have high political influence, raising concerns of attempts to subvert the case. Meanwhile, Police reiterated that they would leave no loopholes in the case.

Iqbal, the father of the slain Muhammad Shahbaz, alleged that the relatives of the accused are politically influential, which he thinks will help them to wriggle out of the case. Even the son of a police officers and a teacher are among the accused. Iqbal threatened that the family would consider suicide if denied justice.

Meanwhile, police recovered the nunchuck from the house of the main accused. It is also known that the father of this student is accused of several gold smuggling and quotation cases. Shahbaz's friends disclosed to police about how the main accused used to boast about his father’s criminal connections.

Five Thamarassery Higher Secondary School students accused in the incident will write their SSLC exams today. They will write the exam at the center near the observation home on Vellimadukunnu.

Earlier, there were moves to allow the accused to write exams at their school. However, considering the possible protest from students and locals, the decision was revoked.
