THRISSUR: Two brothers have been arrested for brutally assaulting a youth for merely staring at them. Panthode natives Prathyush (26) and Kiran (20), who have been staying in Manakkody, were arrested by the Anthikkad police. The incident that led to the case took place on February 28.

On the day of the incident, the accused were passing through Kunnu Center in Manakkody on a scooter when they attacked Akshay (25), a local resident, claiming that he was staring at them. Akshay sustained injuries to his face and chest. The accused were arrested on charges of attempted murder.

Both Prathyush and Kiran are accused in several burglary and murder attempt cases. They were arrested by the police on Sunday. The two were produced in the court and remanded.
