THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For a brief period, the heated exchange inside the legislative assembly paved the way for a lighter moment on Monday when Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan delivered the famous catchphrase “Eda Mone” from the movie ‘Aavesham. ’

The Chief Minister was addressing the current spate of violence that has gripped the youths and the negative influence that they drew from recent movies that purportedly glorify violence.

Even after mentioning the dialogue from the movie, the CM got lost while trying to remember the movie name, which saw speaker A N Shamseer coming to the senior leader's aid. The speaker, through his mic, gave a sly clue by terming the character name ‘Ambane, ’ which the CM couldn’t grasp. Later, the members told CM that he was indeed mentioning the popular movie ‘Aavesham. ’

CM PINARAYI VIJAYAN:

“After watching that movie, many teen students started following gang criminals, and some even went with them to join their cabal. I have seen many police reports on the issue. It is not important whether I watched the movie or not, the reality is concerning.

It is high time the censor board need to work effectively. I don’t know how all these movies got past without any cuts. Serials and movies can badly influence youngsters.”

This video of CM Pinarayi Vijayan criticizing the movie ‘Aavesham’ has now gone viral across Kerala’s social media.
