THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After two days of incessant rain, the weather report predicted the return of strong summer in the capital city. The Indian Meteorological Department has informed that the temperature may rise by two to three degrees Celsius in isolated places. No district in Kerala has been warned of rain on Tuesday.
However, there are chances of light rains at isolated places in the Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts in the next three hours.
Avoid exposing your body to direct sunlight for long periods between 11 am and 3 pm.
Drink plenty of fresh water. Keep drinking water even if you are not thirsty.
Avoid dehydrating alcohol, coffee, tea, and carbonated soft drinks during the day.
Wear loose, light-colored cotton clothes.
There is a possibility of forest fire spreading in case of increasing heat. Tourists and people living near forest areas should be careful.
In educational institutions, clean drinking water and air circulation should be ensured in the classrooms. Water availability should also be ensured in the examination halls.
Journalists and police officers should use umbrellas from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and avoid direct sunlight. Provide drinking water to on-duty personnel to help prevent dehydration.
