PUNE: Two people were arrested for stealing a gold pendant from a 19-year-old girl after forcing her to have sex with her cousin. Shirur natives Amol Pote (25) and Kishore Kale (29) were arrested in the case. The Pune court sent both to police custody till March 7. The horrific incident happened last Saturday night.

“The young woman and her male cousin were talking at an isolated place when two miscreants came that way in a scooter. They pulled out a knife and threatened the relatives to engage in sexual act. The accused then recorded the act and later took turns to rape the woman.” said Police Inspector Mahadev Waghmode of Ranjangaon Police Station.

After this, the accused took the victim’s gold locket worth Rs 10000 and fled.

Soon after, the women and her relative reached their home, distraught and revealed the horrific ordeal to their family. A complaint was filed, and the accused were caught by police in no time. A mobile phone and a gold locket were seized from them. A case has been filed against the two for gang rape and theft.
