THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ganja was seized from the courier that reached the post office in the capital city. The post office near Padmanabha Swamy Temple in East Fort got the stuff. Ganja was seized from the parcel that came from Meghalaya.

The excise had arrested a law student from Peroorkada in a ganja case. The excise team got information from him that ganja will reach Thiruvananthapuram via courier. A search following that obtained information that a courier from Meghalaya had reached the post office in East Fort. After reaching there, about one kilogram of ganja was seized. An investigation will also be conducted focusing on the address of the person who came to receive this parcel at the post office.

DMA was seized in a similar manner from Ernakulam the other day. Excise said that these two cases are related. Both arrived by courier. The parcel in Kochi arrived from Germany. M K Mirzaf has been arrested from Korakkanassery Villa in the incident. It is reported that MDMA was ordered from the dark web by paying the cryptocurrency Monero.

Excise said that there is a large group behind this. The excise team also announced that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident.
