KOLLAM: Prawn theeyal, netholi thoran, choora achar, kakka vizhukku, Kudampuli etta meen thala curry... To ensure that the taste of Kollam is never forgotten, the CPM state conference food menu includes a Kollam special Samudra sadya.
Samudra sadya will be held on the last day of the conference at noon on the 9th. Party workers and fishermen from Kollam sea shore, Neendakara and Shaktikulangare will bring various types of fish for the Samudra sadya. On the first day, lunch will be served with fish curry and beef curry. On the second day, mutton biryani will be served at noon. On the third day, a rich sadya with Ada pradhaman, payar payasam and paal payasam with vermicelli will be served.
Breakfast consists of appam, dosa, chappati, puttu, and idli. There will be kanji and astram every night. In addition to this, there will be either chapati, dosa, or parota every day. Mutton, beef, or chicken curry will also be there. Food for 1200 people, including 530 delegates and organizers, will be prepared three times every day. The cooking will be done in the town hall where the conference is being held. The food will be distributed in two batches in the dining hall here. Along with tea in the morning and evening, Kollam special vettu cake, ellunda, and Kottarakkara unniyappam have also been arranged.
Accommodation in the city
The delegates will start arriving in Kollam by tomorrow evening. Accommodation will be provided in hotels in Kollam city. Only one hotel is outside the city limits. The delegates arriving at the railway station will be taken to their accommodation centres in vehicles under the leadership of the Transportation Committee. There will be vehicle facilities to reach the conference venue in the morning and return at night.
