SHANGUMUGHAM: An Air Arabia flight flying in the Sharjah-Thiruvananthapuram sector has been hit by a bird. This is the second time in a week that an Air Arabia flight has been hit by a bird. The Air Arabia flight that arrived from Sharjah yesterday morning was hit by a bird on the sensitive front part while landing.

The plane was shaken by the impact of the bird strike, but the pilot's timely control allowed it to land smoothly. Blood stains from the bird strike were found when the front of the flight was checked once the passengers got out. The plane was then inspected and cleared for the next flight after ensuring that there were no defects. The plane, which was supposed to return with passengers at 4.30 am, took off at 6.30 am.

If the bird strike had been on the wings of the plane, the control of the plane would have been completely lost. The airport authorities tried to keep the previous bird strike incident on Air Arabia flight a secret, but the matter came to light after the pilot reported it to the Regional Air Safety Office of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Chennai.
