KOLLAM: A grade sub inspector in charge of security at the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital, was found drunk. Sub inspector Prakash of Ezhukone Station came drunk for duty. A team including the circle inspector arrived and took him into custody after the hospital authorities filed a complaint.

Dr Vandana Das was murdered in Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital. Security was tightened after the incident. The police officer on security duty came drunk. The hospital authorities informed the Kottarakkara circle inspector when he was about to fall in the drunken stage.

A team led by the circle inspector subjected him to a medical examination in the same hospital. When the examination revealed that he had consumed alcohol, he was taken into custody. The Kottarakkara CI will submit a report to the Kollam Rural SP. Reports said similar problems have happened from his side in the past also.
