Ashwani had acted in many Malayalam films. The actress, who took a break from Malayalam, is now active in Telugu and Tamil films. The actress is acting in the second part of the web series Suzhal released in Tamil.

Ashwani has now made a shocking revelation while talking in an interview against a Malayalam film director. Ashwani revealed that a Malayalam director summoned her to his room on the pretext of discussing a film and then abused her sexually. Ashwani said that she went to his room because she had acted in films and that he was her father's age.

'I have not shared anywhere about the bad experience I had with a Malayalam film director. I spoke about this on a television show last year. I cannot say that it was a casting couch. It would be better to say that I was trapped in that situation. I am not revealing his name now. It would be better to forget the incident after forgiving him.

He was a big director in Malayalam. He asked me to come to his office to discuss a film. Till then, wherever I went, my mother accompanied me. My strength is my mother. When my mother is with me it would be like 100 men are with me. As my mother was sick that day, she did not accompany me. I think he called me to discuss about the costumes.

His office and house were together. I thought that he would discuss it in the office. However, the people in the office told me that sir was upstairs. When I called my hairdresser to accompany me, she expressed her inconvenience and asked me to go alone. I was a teenager then and happily went upstairs. However, there was no one there. I heard a voice asking me to enter the bedroom. Hearing this, I went to his room. I had done a film with him earlier and so had the courage to enter his room.
