NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting simultaneous raids at various offices of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). Searches are being conducted at 14 locations across the country. The raids are also at three locations in Kerala. The raids are following the arrest of SDPI national president M K Faizy. The searches started at 11 am.


The banned organization Popular Front (PF) is receiving financial support including from abroad. The money comes through SDPI. PFI and SDPI are one and the same. All things of SDPI were controlled by PFI, according to the remand report submitted by the ED to the court after Faizy's arrest.


Information about the search being conducted at the Malappuram district office of SDPI had come to light. It is not clear about the other locations in Kerala. Heavy security has been arranged at the site using central forces. The state police have not been informed about the searches.
