THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader A K Antony said the new generation in Kerala has been debilitated and the government should take action. The youths are insecure. Startups cannot solve the problems of the new generation. Just giving promises is not enough. They should try to implement them, he added. He was speaking at the G Karthikeyan commemoration meet in Thiruvananthapuram.
'For the past few days, there has been only discussion about the debilitations faced by the youth. The youth of Kerala are now in a state of insecurity. The problems of lack of employment and income cannot be solved by startups alone. The youth of the state are like a volcano that are about to erupt,' said Antony.
He clarified that if the government does not wake up and change its stance that only its own party is enough, it will be in big danger. The government has no plan to increase the income of the youth. The government should open its eyes. If the youth are deceived by making promises, it will be in big danger. He added that even though the youth have jobs, they do not get enough income.
