KOZHIKODE: A youth has been taken into custody in connection with the suicide of a law college student. The Chevayur police have taken into custody Alfan, friend of Mousa Mehrisina (21), a second-year graduate student of Kozhikode Government Law College, who committed suicide. He was arrested from Vythiri in Wayanad.

Mehrisina of Pavaratty in Thrissur was found hanging on February 24th. She was found dead in a rented house on Janakeeya Road in Kovoor by her flat mates.

The police then registered a case of unnatural death. Her classmates told police that there was a dispute between Alfan and Mehrisina on the previous day she committed suicide and that he had taken her phone. Alfan later went into hiding. The girl's phone has not been found yet. The family had alleged that there was mystery in her death.
