naveen-babu

KANNUR: The Vigilance Directorate has clarified that it had not received any complaints against former Kannur ADM Naveen Babu, who committed suicide in October. This clarification was provided in response to a Right to Information (RTI) application filed by Adv. Kulathoor Jaisingh. The response to the RTI application stated that no complaints had been received from the public against Naveen Babu, who had served as the ADM.

Earlier, a person named Prasanth had claimed that he had lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister, accusing Naveen Babu of taking a bribe from him for issuing a no-objection certificate for a petrol pump. It was later found that this was a false complaint. The Vigilance Directorate's response confirms this fact. It was also previously clarified that there were no complaints against Naveen Babu in the Revenue Department. Both the Revenue Secretary and the Kannur Collectorate had confirmed that no complaints were received against the former ADM.
