KOTTAYAM: More information surface in the incident of a woman and her two daughters ending their lives by jumping in front of a train in Ettumanoor. The victims are Shiny Kuriakose (43) of Parolikkal and her daughters Aleena (11) and Ivana (10). A domestic violence case has also been filed against Shiny's husband Noby Lukose of Thodupuzha. He was earlier arrested on charges of abetment to suicide. Noby has been remanded.

Shiny and her children committed suicide on February 28. Noby in an inebriated condition had called Shiny on the previous day of the incident. He had told Shiny that he will not divorce her and that will not give money for the expenses of the daughters. Noby also said that he will not pay off the loan taken for his father's treatment. With this, Shiny was in a severe crisis. Noby's phone has been sent for scientific examination.


Meantime, the CCTV footages of Shiny and her children walking towards the railway track has surfaced. One of the children was forcibly taken out of the house and this is also in the visuals. They left the house on February 28 at 4.44 am. They told home that they were going to the church.


Shiny, estranged from Noby, had been living with her daughters in her ancestral home in Parolikkal for the past nine months. Shiny, who was a nurse, was disappointed over not getting work. Aleena and Ivana were students of Holy Cross School in Thellakom. Shiny's eldest son Edwin is a ninth-class student at the Sports School in Ernakulam.
