PATNA: A body of a woman was found with nails hammered into her feet in Bihar's Nalanda district. The locals first saw the body lying on the roadside and alerted the police. The Chandi Police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

The woman was wearing a nightgown. There were multiple injuries on her body. Nails were hammed in both her feet. The body was shifted to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The woman has not been identified yet.

The police are trying to find out the reason for the murder. The search for the accused is also ongoing. Police said that if the woman is identified, the investigation would have been easier. The people of Bahadurpur village are in shock seeing the body. The villagers said that they have never witnessed such an incident before.

The police have appealed to the public to help identify the woman. If anyone is missing in the area, they should immediately report it to the station.
