NEW DELHI: The argument and controversy that the central government is trying to impose Hindi language has created a lot of reactions in Tamil Nadu. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has come forward with a response to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's allegations. He asked Stalin to impart engineering and medical education in Tamil in the state for the benefit of students. Amit Shah made the criticism while speaking at the 56th Raising Day of the CISF at RTC Thakkolam in Ranipet.
Shah said that it was the Modi government that allowed CISF candidates to write the exam in their regional language. Till now, the exam in mother tongue was not allowed in the Central Armed Police Forces. They were allowed to write only in English and Hindi. However, in 2023, the central government allowed to write the exam in 13 regional languages. Permission was granted after Stalin protested that this exam, which was only in English and Hindi, should also be allowed in regional languages.
Stalin posted on social media criticizing the mandatory Hindi language in the national education policy. Stalin responded strongly to Amit Shah's reply. Stalin said the central approach is like an LKG student taking classes for a PhD scholar. Stalin clarified that Tamil Nadu has already achieved many things that were said to be completed by 2030 according to the National Education Policy-2020. Stalin said that Dravida will not take orders from Delhi but will give instructions that the country will follow.
