KOLLAM: CPM report admitting that there is sectarianism at the local level. Sectarianism is the reason for the problems that have continuously arisen locally in some places during this session. Those at the state centre should reach out to the lower levels and find solutions.
The anti-organizational moves were clarified by specifically pointing out the incidents in Karunagappally in Kollam district and Mannarkkad in Palakkad district. Instead of trying to rally the people behind the party, the attempt is to rally them behind individuals. The comrades stood firm with the interventions made by the party leadership to resolve the problems in places where sectarianism has surfaced.
Illegal loans should be repaid
Those who have misappropriated money and taken loans in violation of cooperative laws should repay the money. District committees should inform the state centre of the details of loans taken from cooperative banks by leaders up to the area committee.
Should be with believers
CPM members should be active in gatherings like places of worship and festivals to prevent consolidation of votes on the basis of religion. Not only BJP, but also SDPI, Jamaat-e-Islami and CASA are consolidating votes by exploiting faith.
Praise and attack for SFI
SFI is playing a strong role in resisting the BJP's move through RSS targeting students. There are planned conspiracies to discredit SFI because of this. Members staying in hostels and SFI offices under the label of SFI, even after completing their studies on campuses, cannot be allowed. Even Siddharth's death has harmed the Left movement. Those with anti-social tendencies should not be made a part of the movement.
