KOZHIKODE: Muhammed Shuhaib, the CEO of MS Solutions and the main accused in the question paper leak case, has confessed to the crime. However, Shuhaib stated that the responsibility for the leak lies with other accused individuals, according to Crime Branch SP KK Moideen Kutty. The Crime Branch, which believes that there was a conspiracy behind the question paper leak, expanded its investigation considering the possibility that other institutions might have been involved in leaking the question papers.
Shuhaib’s mobile phone is in police custody. Since many details were deleted from his phone, it will be sent for forensic examination. Currently, four individuals are named as accused. Moideen Kutty said that the Crime Branch will look into whether more people were involved in the crime. It would also investigate the financial transactions of the arrested individuals. The Thamarassery court has remanded Muhammed Shuhaib. The Crime Branch will file an application on Monday to obtain his custody. Shuhaib surrendered at the Kozhikode Crime Branch office yesterday after the High Court denied him anticipatory bail.
