KAZHAKKOOTTAM: Sudheer (47) of M.E.K. Manzil near Kaniyapuram Muslim High School died in a vehicle accident in Saudi Arabia. The accident took place at 12 am on Thursday morning Saudi time in Wadi Al-Dawasir, Riyadh. Sudheer, an employee of DHL courier service, was returning to his room after work when the accident occurred.

Relatives said they have not received information about which vehicle hit him. While searching for Sudheer after his colleagues did not see him in the morning, they came to know that he was seriously injured and was in a nearby hospital. He died at eight am. Relatives are hoping that the body will be brought home on Sunday or Monday. He is survived by his wife, Fida; children: Nasriya (a fourth-grade student at Kazhakoottam Al-Uthman School); and a two-year-old son. Siblings: Jasmine, Jebin. Father: late Ibrahim Kunju. Mother: Sulekha Biwi, a retired clerk at Kaniyapuram Girls High School. Sudheer, who was in Saudi Arabia for 9 years, visited home and returned four months ago.
