THRISSUR: The Nedupuzha police have arrested three individuals, including two brothers, for selling MDMA from a rented house. Two others managed to escape. The police seized 70 grams of MDMA and 4 kg of cannabis during the raid.

The arrested individuals are Arimbur natives Arun (25) and his brother Alan (19) and Aranattukara native Anjaneyan (19). The suspects had rented a house in Mashuppadi, Nedupuzha, where they were operating the drug trade. The police also confiscated a laptop, a notepad, four mobile phones, and a bike from the scene.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at the house late at night. When the officers knocked on the door, two suspects pushed them aside and escaped. The remaining three were caught inside the house while they were packing MDMA, according to police sources. The brothers had been living in the rented house for the past one and a half years. Their father had passed away, and their mother had moved abroad. Since then, they had been using the house as a base for drug sales.

The accused were arrested by a team comprising Sub-Inspectors K.R. Shantharam, N.P. Santhosh Kumar, Senior CPOs Shivakumar, Vineesh, CPOs Litheesh and Pradeep, and Home Guard Ravi.
