THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amidst the ruthless heat toiling people to fatigue in the state, there is hope for rains in the coming days, as per weather reports. The Indian Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert in three districts on March 11. A yellow alert has been issued for the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts. Heavy rains are expected to occur in the next 24 hours, ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm.
The Meteorological Department has announced that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki today. There is the possibility of light to moderate rain in the Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts tomorrow. On March 10, light to moderate rain is likely in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts.
Although there is an alert in only three districts on March 11, there remains a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in all the remaining districts.
