KASARGOD: There is a turning point in the incident where a girl and a youth were found dead after going missing from Paivalike in Karnataka three weeks ago. The 15-year-old girl and one from her locality identified as Pradeep (42) were found hanging from a tree in the grounds of Mandekapu. More than 50 pictures sent to a relative in Karnataka turned crucial in finding the bodies of the two.
The tenth-class girl went missing on February 12. Pradeep also went missing on the same day. Pictures of the two together were sent to a relative in Karnataka on that day. The pictures were taken at different places and at different times. Through this, the police got hints that the two might be together. A search was also conducted in Karnataka by contacting the Karnataka police. After confirming that the two had not gone to Karnataka, the search was expanded to the area around the house. The two were then found hanging.
Two phones, a knife and a chocolate were recovered from the area. However, the police said no suicide note was recovered. There was no foul smell in the area where the body was found. The police said they had also checked the CCTVs in the area. The police said the inquest proceedings would be completed soon and only after this it would be possible to know whether there is a note on the clothes or anything else.
