KOTTAYAM: An elderly woman who got off the bus to go to church died after being hit by the same bus. In the tragic incident, Annamma Kuriakose (75), wife of the late K.U. Kuriakose in Kuzhimattom Poyka, died after the bus ran over her head. The incident took place around 8.15 am yesterday. She had boarded the bus from Nellikal to attend the morning mass at St. John's Dayara Church in Chingavanam and got off near the railway bridge. Locals said that she was hit by the same bus while walking. The accident was caused by a TCM bus plying on the Kottayam-Changanassery route. The bus was taken into custody by the Chingavanam police. The family members are the late Sajan and Sajinimol. In-laws: K.A. Abraham Kuzhimattom Kollamparambil, Nijitha (Ambili), Thodupuzha Kaliyar. Funeral service at 11 am today at Chingavanam Church.
