THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two people have been arrested for sexually abusing minor sisters in Varkala. The police arrested a 17-year-old plus two student and Manu alias Akhil (23) of Shaktikulangara in Kollam. Akhil is the conductor of the bus running on Paravoor-Bhoothakulam route. The victims subjected to abuse are aged 13 and 17.

Police said the 17-year-old boy was sexually abusing the girl aged 17 since 2023 on pretext of love. The boy was a classmate of the girl. Akhil, the conductor met the girls and the 17-year-old boy in the bus. After establishing friendship with them, conductor Akhil also abused the children under the pretext of love. The girls’ teacher, who came to know about the incident, informed child line and the police.
