THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ADGP Manoj Abraham, who is in charge of law and order, has instructed the SPs to confiscate the properties of drug dealers and sellers. The steps for this should be intensified. All the properties of drug case accused can be confiscated. The onus is on the accused to prove that these were not acquired through drug trafficking. A list of those to be detained in preventive detention should be made. The regular arrival of international couriers should be monitored. There should be secret surveillance, including at DJ parties.
Strong action should be taken against those who supply drugs in school and college premises. The activities of the drug mafia should be closely monitored. School protection groups should be activated. Drug trade and use should be strictly prevented. The supply of drugs from other states should also be prevented. Kerala Police should work in coordination with the police of other states. Information should be shared in the officers' WhatsApp group so that drug dealers can be caught quickly.
Drug and crime cases were reviewed in a high-level meeting. It was also assessed that the number of drug cases registered has increased compared to last year. IG, DIG and district police chiefs participated in the meeting online.
