Actress Ahaana Krishna has responded to the allegations made by Nyna, the wife of the Late Manu James, the director of the film Nancy Rani. Nyna had earlier accused Ahaana of not cooperating with the promotional activities for the film.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, Ahaana clarified that she had unpleasant experiences with Manu James and his wife Nyna.

"During the film's shooting, Manu behaved completely unprofessionally. Without my knowledge, he had someone else dub for my character. Despite how bad the film was, I would have promoted it because it was my responsibility. However, what happened here is beyond that. The director and his wife made false drug allegations against me and my family, which was an attempt to cover up their own mistakes."

Ahaana further alleged that the director used to come to the film set drunk and that he even drank with some assistant directors inside a caravan. "Manu and some of his ADs would be sitting inside the caravan and drinking and rejoicing while an entire set, including myself, technicians and other actors, would be waiting for them to finish their party and come and start shooting. There have been multiple instances where I would be sitting on set along with the other crew members and I would be messaging Manu asking him to start the shoot. I also have Chat proof of Manu accepting the fact that he would be drunk on set," she said.

Ahaana also addressed the rumors that she was addicted to drugs and created problems on set, stating, "Once, Nyna called my mother and told her that I was completely unprofessional. However, my mother responded that I am an extremely professional person and anybody who has worked with me will agree on the same. My mother reminded Nyna that on countless days, I have come and sat on set waiting for the shoot to begin while her husband would be busy drinking on set without shooting. To this, Nyna responded with a disgusting and terrible remark, which was that- 'At least my husband was only using alcohol. Your daughter was into drugs," she said.

Ahaana clarified that she had never signed an agreement to cooperate in the promotional activities. "If these issues hadn't occurred, I would have gladly cooperated," she concluded in her lengthy post.
