THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior CPM leader P Jayarajan raised questions to the state leadership on the last day of the CPM state conference. The question was why there was no discussion or response to the two complaints submitted to the state committee. P Jayarajan pointed the complaints raised against central committee member E P Jayarajan. The leaders did not respond to the questions raised after the chief minister's reply on the last day of the state conference in Kollam.

M V Govindan introduced the panel of new state committee members including E P Jayarajan after this. P Jayarajan did not oppose this panel. Cadres and local leaders unjustified the act of not including P Jayarajan in the secretariat. Meanwhile, J Mercykutty Amma raised the allegation that women are not getting enough consideration in the party upper classes. It is reported that the leadership has not given adequate response on this issue as well.

Two women were excluded from the state committee this time. P K Sreemathy and Susan Kody were replaced by K Shantha Kumari and R Bindu. K K Shailaja was included when Sreemathy was excluded from the secretariat. Veena George was made a permanent invitee because of the limited number of members. Soon after considering Veena George, A Padmakumar from Pathanamthitta expressed displeasure on Facebook. Apart from not being included, making Minister Veena George permanent invitee prompted Padmakumar to react publicly.

The district secretary had visited Padmakumar at his residence the other day to appease him. N Sukanya of Kannur's dissatisfaction came forward with a Facebook post quoting Che Guevara’s word. ‘If you tremble with anger at every injustice, you are my comrade”, she quoted the iconic revolutionary leader.
