HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a four-year-old child died after getting trapped in an apartment lift. The incident occurred last night in a six-story building in Santosh Nagar Colony, Hyderabad. The deceased child has been identified as Surender, the son of Sham Bahadur, a Nepalese national working as a security guard in the building.

The child was playing near the lift when he suddenly tried to enter it and got trapped in the door. The accident came to light ten minutes later. When the parents searched for the missing child, they found him lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately rescued and taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

Sham Bahadur, his wife and two kids had moved to Hyderabad seven months ago. He was working as a security guard in an apartment building. The family was residing in a small room on the ground floor near the lift.
