PALAKKAD: A youth was stabbed to death in Vadakkencherry. The dead is Manu (24) of Chozhiyangad Mangalam in Vadakkancherry. Vishnu (23) of Vadakkencherry, friend of Manu killed him late last night. The police have arrested the accused.

There were some financial transactions between the two. A dispute related to this resulted in the murder. Manu had borrowed Rs 5000 from Vishnu and had failed to return it.

Manu called Vishnu last night and asked him to come as he wants to repay the amount borrowed. Manu told him to come to an area near his house. As soon as he came, Manu attacked him. In the meantime, the police said Vishnu stabbed him with a knife.

Hearing the commotion, the locals arrived and handed Vishnu over to the police. Manu was immediately taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
