BENGALURU: Three youths were killed in a drunken brawl during Holi celebrations. The incident happened during a celebration organized at an under-construction building at Anekal in Bengaluru. The dead have been identified as Ansu (22) and Radhe Shyam (23). The third person has not been identified. A fight broke out among a group of six men from the same village in Bihar when inappropriate comments were made about a woman.
The youths attacked each other with iron rods and pieces of wood. All three victims were found lying in a pool of blood. One body was found lying near the entrance to the building and the second inside the room. The third body was found outside the apartment, said the police. One of the injured has been taken into custody. The search for the other two is in progress.
Meantime, two murder cases were reported in Bhubaneswar during Holi celebrations yesterday. The first incident was reported in Shanthipally slum near Sahid Nagar. One identified as Gopi Guli was stabbed to death in a verbal altercation between youths. His wife, who was with him, was also seriously injured. They have been admitted to the hospital. Another incident was reported in Samagodia under Mancheswar police limits. Here, the assailants killed the youth by running him through the street.
