SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested seven people, including influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry, for hosting a drinking party in a hotel room at the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi temple, Katra. The incident came to light after Orry shared a video of the party tagged as 'Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra'. The case is for hurting religious sentiments and violating the district magistrate's order banning alcohol consumption at the base camp.

Russian woman Anastasia Arzamaskina, who had come to Katra with Orry and her friends, is also among those arrested. A case has been registered against Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Hrithik Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli and Arzamaskina.

Orry is a close friend of prominent Bollywood stars. He often appears at parties with Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan and Bhumi Pednekar. Orry is the son of Mumbai businessman Suraj Kundanlal Avatramani and Shahnaz. His family owns a hotel and real estate business.
