NEW DELHI: US intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard minced no words while terming Islamic terrorism as a looming threat for both India and the US. Gabbard said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump are working together to eradicate the same.

Tulsi made this statement in an interview with a news agency in Delhi. She was responding to a question about terror attacks being carried out with aid from Pakistan.

“Trump is committed to defeating Islamic terrorism, which has affected the US in a major way. Terrorism has also negatively affected people in India, Bangladesh, Syria, Israel, and the Gulf countries. The leaders of both these countries have found out the origin of this malady. Expect strong actions from them.

Tulsi is in Delhi for the World Intelligence Chiefs' Conference. On Monday, she met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. Rajnath Singh pointed out the growing Khalistan terrorism against India in the US. He particularly talked about Sikhs for Justice leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s continuing crime with impunity while sitting in the comforts of the US.

“The Bhagavad Gita had a great influence on my life. The advice given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna gave me strength. It became a guide” Tulsi said.
