KOZHIKODE: The preliminary postmortem report of Shibila of Kakkad in Eengappuzha, is out. The postmortem report said the cause of death was a deep wound on the neck. The postmortem report said two of the wounds on the neck were deep and there was a total of 11 wounds on her body. The police arrested Shibila's husband Yasir yesterday in connection with her murder. There are reports that the accused has given a statement to the police that he actually aimed her father, Abdurahman.

He thought that it was Abdurahman who estranged her from him. He bought a new knife to kill his father-in-law and kept it in his hand. He told the police that he did not intend to kill Shibila and that he loved her very much. Yasir was not intoxicated at the time of the attack. The accused will be produced before the Thamarassery court and remanded.

The two got married after dating for many years. Although there were problems from the beginning, Shibila did not inform this to her family as it was a love marriage. Shibila knew that Ashiq, who killed his own mother, was Yasir's friend.

The two engaged in a fight over it. She then decided to sever ties with him. Shibila went to her own house with her daughter. Shibila had told Yasir many times that she does not want to live with him. He constantly threatened to kill her. Despite filing a complaint with the police, his harassment continued.

He came to Shibila's house in his own car yesterday at the time of breaking the fast. He stabbed Shibila on her neck while she was eating. The attack was in front of her three-year-old daughter. Abdurahman and his wife Haseena were injured in Yasir's attack. Both are undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College. Abdurahman will undergo an emergency surgery. Nassar, a neighbour who came rushing hearing the commotion, was also attacked.
