THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian meteorological department predicted the chances of rain for the next five days in the state. It has been informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kilometres per hour in isolated places in Kerala from today to the 26th.
At the first sign of lightning, move inside a safe building immediately. Remaining in open areas increases the risk of being struck by lightning.
Disconnect electrical appliances from the power supply. Avoid proximity to electrical appliances during thunderstorms.
Avoid using the telephone during thunderstorms. There is no harm in using a mobile phone.
Avoid playing outdoors and on terraces, including with children, if the weather is cloudy
Do not go out onto the terrace or into the yard to get clothes when you see a thunderstorm.
