MALAPPURAM: A youth was threatened with a sword and then abducted by a drug gang. He was brutally thrashed. The incident happened at Edappal in Malappuram. The 18-year-old youth abducted is from Kuttipalam. The complaint is that he was kidnapped after he refused to give his classmate's phone number.

He was forcefully carried on a bike while running away from them. The passengers in the car behind the bike captured the footage of the incident and handed it over to the Changaramkulam police. Following an investigation by the police, three including a minor were arrested. They are natives of Ponnani. The arrested are Mubashir Muhammed, Yasir and a 17-year-old. Footage of them kidnapping the youth with sword had also emerged.
