KADAMPAZHIPURAM: Two forest department officers were arrested for taking a bribe. The vigilance team caught Franklin George, a first-grade surveyor from the Palakkad Division Forest Office, and Sujith, a Beat Forest Officer. They were found accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a private landowner whose property borders forest department land. The officials were caught red-handed while measuring the land. The case was registered after a complaint was filed by Usha from Mannattil, Thrippalamunda, Kizhakkumpuram, Kongad.
