The trailer of the movie Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy and starring Mohanlal and Shobana in lead roles, has come out. The trailer starts with humor and ends with a shocking performance. It is clear from the trailer that Thudarum will be a suspense-filled movie. The film appears to tell the story of the bond between a man named Shanmugham and his black Ambassador car.

Thudarum marks the reunion of Malayalam's favourite onscreen pair Mohanlal and Sobhana after 20 years. They last appeared together in the 2009 movie Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded. In Thudarum, Mohanlal plays the role of an ordinary taxi driver, while Shobana plays his wife. Other actors in the film include Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Farhan Fazil, Thomas Matthew, Aarsha Chandini Baiju and Irshad.

The screenplay is written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil. Cinematography is by Shajikumar, sound design by Vishnu Govind, and the film is produced by M. Ranjith under the Rajaputhra Visual Media banner. Recently, the song Katha Thudarum, composed by Jakes Bijoy, was released. The lyrics of the song are by B.K. Harinarayanan, and it is sung by Hariharan and Gokul Gopakumar.
