THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that Kerala is likely to receive rainfall for the next five days.

The IMD reported that isolated areas in the state may witness thunderstorms accompanied by rain today and tomorrow, along with strong winds gusting at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h.

Additionally, the department has indicated that thunderstorms with rain are also likely on the 28th.

Thunderstorms are dangerous. They cause great damage to human and animal lives, electrical and communication networks and household appliances connected to electrical conductors. Therefore, the public should take the following precautions from the moment they first see the storm. Since lightning may not always be visible, do not refrain from taking such precautions.
