KASARGOD: A 46-year-old youth was forced to get the aid of the fire force after he got his penis stuck in a metal nut. The nut, which was about one and a half inches in diameter used for a washer, got stuck in his genitals. The incident happened in Kanhangad. He had sought treatment at Kanhangad District Hospital at around 8 pm on Tuesday night. The doctors had tried to remove the nut, but it was not successful. With this, the hospital authorities informed the fire force.

After an effort of hours, the fire force removed the nut by cutting it. As the nut gets hot when cut with a cutter, there was a high risk of damaging the penis. Therefore, it took a long time to cut and remove both parts of the nut by pouring water and cooling it. The authorities also said that it must have been two days since the nut got stuck in his genitals.

Meantime, the youth said some unknown people inserted the nut when he was in a drunken state. He had difficulty in passing urine. The youth said that he went to the hospital after his effort for two days did not yield any results.
