NILGIRI: A tribal youth was killed in a leopard attack in Ooty. He has been identified as Kendharkuttan (41) from the Todar tribe. The incident happened near Governor Sola in Nilgiris district. Half of the body was eaten by the leopard. The forest department, police and revenue department are inspecting the spot.

The locals said the youth had gone to the forest area in search of his buffalo, which went missing last evening. He did not return home even after midnight. With this, his relatives started searching for him since early this morning. The locals have organized a protest in the area.
