VARKALA: A woman and her daughter were brutally killed in a road rampage incident in Varkala on late Sunday night. Rohini and her daughter Akhila, natives of Varkala, lost their lives in the incident. The incident took place in Varkala Perete, Thiruvananthapuram.

A recovery vehicle rammed into a crowd who were returning from a temple festival in the nearby premises. The car was heading towards Kavalayoor from Varkala. The accident occurred at 10 pm. The driver fled the spot after the accident.
