THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Railways have announced a special train service from Kerala to Bengaluru having the highest number of passengers. The service will be from Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) to Bengaluru SMV Terminal. This train having full AC compartments will operate from April 4 to May 5.

The journey will start from SMV Terminal every Friday at 10 pm. It will reach Thiruvananthapuram North Station by noon the next day. The return journey will start at 2:45 pm on Sunday. The train will reach Bengaluru by 7:30 am the next day. During Vishu holidays, private buses to Bengaluru charge exorbitant rates. Therefore, this type of special train service will provide relief to passengers.

The stops in Kerala are Varkala, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, and Palakkad. The stop near Bengaluru will be Krishnarajapuram.
