KOTTAYAM: New revelations have come to light regarding the death of Megha, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer who committed suicide in Thiruvananthapuram last week. It has been disclosed that Sukanth Suresh, Megha's boyfriend and the main suspect in the case, went into hiding after allegedly deceiving his friends. Their romantic relationship was well known among their colleagues. After learning about Megha's death, Sukanth's friends had visited him in an attempt to console him.

During this time, Sukanth was reportedly crying uncontrollably and expressed suicidal thoughts, prompting his friends and colleagues to intervene. Concerned for his well-being, they encouraged him to take leave and took him to his home in Edappal in a car. According to his friends, Sukanth appeared to be overly distressed, displaying signs of deep emotional turmoil.

However, the very next day, Sukanth went missing from his home. Locals suspect that he has been in hiding since then. Police have received information suggesting that Sukanth has been attempting to secure bail while remaining in a hideout. Additionally, there are hints that Sukanth went into hiding with his parents. His family’s house in Shukapuram, Edappal has been locked for four days, and all phones of the family members have been switched off.

Sukanth's family is financially stable, with his father running a tool shop used for stone cutting and his mother being a retired teacher. Sukanth is their only child, and his father has invested in several plots of land over the years. The family has kept a low profile and has not been socially engaged with the local community or their relatives. It is also noted that Sukanth's uncle, who resides nearby, has not been in regular contact with the family.

Locals revealed that Sukanth had no close friends in the area, and many were unaware of his role as an IB officer until the incident unfolded. Sources indicate that the family follows religious traditions, including practices related to astrology and rituals.

Meanwhile, Megha’s father Madhusoodanan clarified that his family had no objections to Megha marrying Sukanth. However, he accused Sukanth of trying to exploit his daughter financially.
