NAGPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached RSS headquarters in Nagpur the other day. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has come out with a response on this issue. Raut says that Narendra Modi met Mohan Bhagwat at RSS headquarters to announce his retirement decision. Raut also says that Narendra Modi will step down as Prime Minister.
Sanjay Raut said that the next leader of BJP will be from Maharashtra and he knows who it is. Raut responded that he has come to know that a leader from Maharashtra will be considered next. Sanjay Raut added that Modi is aiming to step down as Prime Minister and announce his retirement in September before the next Lok Sabha elections in 2029.
Meanwhile, BJP leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has rejected this opinion of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction leader. Fadnavis said that now is not the time to look for a successor to Narendra Modi. The Maharashtra Chief Minister said that it is the Mughal tradition to decide the successor when the father is alive and that is not the case in the BJP.
'In our culture, it is wrong to discuss the successor when the father is alive. That is a Mughal tradition. It is not the time for that discussion. We will see Modi becoming the Prime Minister again in 2029,' Fadnavis said.
