NEW DELHI: State Health Minister Veena George met Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday to discuss the unsolved issues of Asha workers in Kerala. The meeting took place at the Union Minister's office in Parliament House.

The minister, while talking to the media, said that the Union Minister assured to consider increasing incentives of ASHA workers. Various demands of Kerala regarding the health department were raised in the discussion. It is also reported that a memorandum was submitted to the Union Minister.

“The union minister heard the demands of the ASHA workers. The state's requests were presented before him. Matters including increasing incentives and bringing them under labor laws were discussed,” said Minister Veena George.
