MALAPPURAM: KT Jaleel, MLA, stated that Kerala would reach unprecedented heights if the LDF is elected for a third term. He highlighted the LDF government's firm stance against communalism over the past nine years, during which no communal riots occurred. He argued that when right-wing parties come to power, caste and religious tensions rise, but during Pinarayi Vijayan's tenure, such issues remained dormant. Jaleel emphasised that Kerala has benefitted from breaking the cycle of alternating governments every five years, which previously hindered long-term development.

In the Facebook post, he pointed out that limited five-year agendas delayed key projects like the National Highway, GAIL pipeline, Vizhinjam port, and waste management solutions. Jaleel credited the voters for ending the misconception that alternating governments are better, enabling the completion of major projects. He noted that if the first Pinarayi government had only lasted five years, Kerala would have faced decades of delays in development.

Jaleel expressed confidence that a third term for the LDF would propel Kerala to new heights. He mentioned the completion of the Vizhinjam port, realisation of K-Rail, land acquisition for national highways, industrial growth, and achieving European standards of cleanliness as key goals which are only possible if LDF comes into power yet another time. He also envisioned Kerala becoming India's safest education hub. He attributed the Left government's achievements to its focus on public education, healthcare, and housing assistance through the Life Mission program.

Jaleel criticised the UDF regime for communal riots like the Marad, Poonthura, and Thalassery incidents, contrasting it with the LDF's record of maintaining communal harmony. He asserted that Pinarayi Vijayan's leadership unequivocally opposed communalism, which he described as a threat to the nation.
